A directed study investigation and dissertation on an approved project or study topic under the supervision of a lecturer. Students must obtain the lecturer’s approval and signature on a Project Selection form (available from the Computer Science department office or website).

There is one recorded lecture lecture per week during 2020B, which all students are expected to view. Students should also arrange to meet with their supervisor at least once per week. A total of 450 hours work is expected for this paper, with the remaining time each week a mix of reading, planning, computer work and documentation, and writing for the interim report, and the dissertation.
